Some of the greatest difficulties we will ever face in life are due to the tragedy of our will and desires for ourselves that are contrary to that of God’s for us! This is instant conflict and will never sit well with God. He wants to order out steps. It is not for us to decide where we want to go and what we want to do “if” we belong to God.
To say that we love God and that we belong to Him, is to accept that He will chasten us when we step out of line… Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
