Please see some guidelines below to help you in this fast.
Just remember that, before you can petition God, you must supplicate before God, in prayers of repentance. This will restore you to good standing and favor with God and position you spiritually to be able to petition God for whatever your heart desires.
Please be sure that you are healthy enough to endure the sacrificial affliction of fasting, before you you begin.
1 Before you begin fasting, make a list of your petitions.
2 Decide how long you plan to fast and stick to it.
3 If you are a beginner, we recommend missing all meals and snacks from 12 midnight until 12 noon.
4 If you are an intermediate faster, we recommend missing all means and snacks from 12 midnight until 3:00pm.
5 If you are a seasoned faster, we recommend missing all meals and snacks from 12 midnight until 6:00PM.
6 If you are an advanced faster, we recommend missing all means and snacks form 6:00pm until 6:00pm.
7 Find scriptures which are relevant to your petitions to read and meditate on daily.
8 Find the time to pray often, at least, every 3 hours.
9 Anoint yourself with oil, where it's not obvious to others.
10 People may know that you're fasting, but do not tell others just because you want others to know that you're fasting.
If you plan to drink water, do so only at set times, preferably every 3, 4 or 6 hours. Otherwise, drink nothing at all. After fasting, try to have only soups, teas, salads, fruits and other light foods. Have fish for dinner, it is lighter on the stomach.
Do your best to succeed on this fast. Trust and believe that God will come through for you. Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days, not knowing that God released his blessing from the very first day and that it was held up by the enemy, but, he got his breakthrough.
Pray fervently, expecting God to move!
