Today is a very special day to us who love our grandparents. It’s grandparents day! Too often our grandparents are denied their honor and recognition as we focus on Mothers Day and Fathers Day. Some how, some of the world’s greatest treasures go overlooked. Too often they are the ones who helps our parents when they need it and even when they don’t. They pay bills that we didn’t know about. They save for college tuition! They baby sit. They are in many cases the core of the moral and spiritual structure for their children and grandchildren. They take the grandchildren to church and teach them the word of God when many parents fail. In fact, many of us are living on the prayers that our grandparents prayed for us years ago.

Today, we take the time to honor our grandparents, realizing that when God said to honor or mothers and fathers that our days may be long upon the land that God has given us in Exodus 20:12, He was talking about grandparents too!
