HONORING OUR HEORES.  5/28/12

On this Decoration Day, we honor the men and women of our armed forces for the sacrifices they made, even unto death for us, in our nation's service.  They have crossed enemy’s lines and willingly endangered themselves in combat against them for our freedom.   Today we remember the children who became fatherless and motherless.  We honor the parents who became childless and the families that lost their own heroes for our sake.

 On this Memorial Day, we pray for protection and a safe return for the men and women who are yet in harm’s way.  My almighty God be their strength and shield.  May their lives be preserved and their courage increased to fight the good fight until you bring them home safely.  We thank you father!  In the name of Jesus, amen!

We cherish too, the Poppy red

That grows on fields where valor led,

It seems to signal to the skies

That blood of heroes never dies.
