PRESERVING OUR MARRIAGES –DAY 6!

Living in the same house with a woman doesn’t make a man a husband any more that being in a hospital makes a man a doctor! It is unfair for a man to embrace only the perks and pleasures of having a wife but, reject the responsibilities thereof!

Marriage is a signed agreement, a binding contract between God, a man and a woman which carries severe penalties, should it be broken! Divorce is not ok! Malachi 2: 16“For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty, ” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.” (NLT)

If you have been experiencing a drought in the answer to your prayers, check your relationship with your wife. Are you treating her well? Are you being faithful to her? Are you abusing her? Have you broken your marriage vows and remain un-repented? Know this; God will not hear your prayers nor receive your worship if you are in violation of the covenant you made between God, you and your wife!

MALACHI 2:13Here is another thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, weeping and groaning because he pays no attention to your offerings and doesn’t accept them with pleasure. 14You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows. (NLT)

Be faithful to your marriage covenant! If this message touches your heart, repent and allow God to restore you and mend the brokenness of your marriage. He can and will if you let him.
