PRESERVING OUR MARRIAGES, DAY 3!

Brothers, this means that you must love your wife, even if she doesn’t respect you.  Even if she doesn’t regard you as her head; even if she doesn’t submit to your lordship over her; even if she doesn’t cook or clean; even if she gained some extra pounds after bearing your children; even if she hates your parents; even if she wastes the money; even if she is unpleasant in any way…she is your wife and it’s your responsibility, ordered by God to love her anyway, anyhow!  This is certainly a difficult task but, if God didn’t KNOW that you can handle it, He would never allow it.  Don’t react to such treachery but, rather reject it and respond to in in prayer.  Tell her that you do not receive her behavior and will never accept it.  You are the priest of your home.   Take it to God in prayer!
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says;
4 Love suffers  long, and is kind; Love envies not; Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks  no evil; 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopes  all things, endures all things.  Verse 8 says that Love never fails……..
Violence, anguish, bitterness, resentment and retaliation are never the answer!  To partake of it against your bride; your wife; your good thing; because of her failures, would put you in violation of the covenant you made to love her in sickness, health, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health!
