TRANSFORMATION, NOT MOTIVATION!
Without transformation, there will always be a need for motivation, and dependency on others for a temporary fix. There must be change! For this change to take place, the mind must be renewed! Romans 12: 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
To renew the mind is to uncover the original truth about one’s self! It will expose one’s true God ordained identity! He has called us to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Himself.
One can be motivated to do good works but, not to become good! That’s a job for transformation! Renew your mind! Motivation treats and masks what already is but, transformation gives new birth! Renew your mind! Change through a new birth is the key 2 Corinthians 5: 16 Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17Therefore if any manbe in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The problem here is that the flesh of the old man is corrupt and is the enemy of our destiny. It must be abolished, giving way to the newness of life in Christ. Motivation helps one to deal with the problem, but transformation solves the problem! Renew your mind! ~
What am I saying:
1 Motivation is a sustained treatment but transformation is the cure! Renew your mind!
2 Motivation initiates and directs behavior, but only transformation can change the nature of behavior.
3 Transformation brings independence but motivation promotes dependency. Renew your mind!
4 Motivation is like a drug. Once it wears off, you need another hit! But, transformation is permanent! Renew your mind!
5 Motivation is like teaching an animal to “act” humane but, transformation is an animal becoming human! Renew your mind!
6 One can be motivated to do right, but transformation will make and keep one right!
