The anointing on your life is your power for service and your greatest weapon, shield and defense against the powers of darkness.  It is the anointing that facilitates the authority to function in the realm of the spirit.  One must be thoroughly infected, subdued and totally under the influence of the anointing, from the crown of one’s head to the sole of one’s feet.  Isaiah 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.  No area on the life of one who had been anointed by Almighty God can be allowed to go un-ministered to.

Exodus 40:15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

The anointing will sanctify you and uproot that old nature of Adam.   Your anointing will not remain unless you are sanctified.  Leviticus 8:12 And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

The anointing will teach you through dreams, visions and the revelation of the heart of God.  It will increase and expand your wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the word of God.   The anointing will also teach you how to be effective in your area of ministry.  1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The anointing on your life is your guarantee that God will save you in time of battle against the enemy. Whenever the enemy advances an attack against you, all you have to do is speak the name of the Lord and He will come to your defense.  Psalm 20:6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Your anointing sets you apart and puts you off limits. No one who offends you will go unpunished.  God will avenge you.  Psalm 105:15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.  1Samuel 26:9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless?  You can rest assured that no one will get away with harming you because of the anointing.

It is important for us to know that the anointing on our lives is not to be taken lightly.  Isaiah 61:1-3 puts it most profoundly;  

1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.  

Guard your anointing!  It’s the one thing the devil can’t stand about you!
